On Wednesday, the Succoro Panchayat heard a detailed presentation of the six-lane elevated corridor on NH-66 (Porvorim) and its development till date. Locals, Succoro V.P. Panch members, attended the program to express their grievances and discuss potential solutions to the present challenges.
The primary goal of this project is to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and increase safety along this key segment of NH-66. The officials informed the people about the project’s current status and sought feedback on a variety of concerns such as dust pollution control, traffic management, and so on.
Succoro Sarpanch Sonia Pednekar told the media that villagers had requested a presentation of the highway, so they may learn about the difficulties that are faced during the road project. Sonia expressed satisfaction with the vast number of residents who came together to discuss and fix the issues. When asked about the crucial issue of the banyan tree and a small temple in the path of the highway, Sonia stated that no resident brought out this issue in the discussion.
