Calangute Police conducted a narcotic raid near Sinquerim Jetty, Sinquerim, Candolim, Bardez-Goa, during which lady accused Jumaeva Amira, age 42 years, native of Uzbekistan was found in illegal possession of narcotic drugs suspected to be Cocaine weighing 12.05 grams worth Rs. 1,20,000/- approximately.
Calangute Police Station received credible information from sources that one female person would be coming to deliver narcotic drugs to her prospective customers. Accordingly, a raid was conducted in the presence of panchas, and above narcotic drugs were seized.
Raid was conducted by the team comprising of LPSI Sneha Sawal, PSI Kiran Naik, PSI Saieel Vaigankar, PC-7119 Ganpat Tilogi, PC-7283 Raj Parab, PC-6118 Amir Garad and LPC-8558 Sangeeta Simepurushkar, all of Calangute Police Station.
A complaint regarding illegal possession of narcotic drugs was filed by LPSI Sneha Sawal of Calangute P.S. upon which PSI Vighnesh Naik has registered an offence under the provisions of NDPS Act, 1985.
Further investigation is in progress under the Supervision of PI Somnath Mhajik of Calangute Police Station with overall Supervision of SDPO Porvorim, Vishwesh Karpe and SP North, Akshat Kaushal, IPS.
